About Me
I’ve always believed that the best family photos aren’t just about how you look - they’re about how you feel. That’s why I love outdoor family sessions. Whether we’re exploring the woods, playing on the beach, or just having a relaxed stroll, I make sure your shoot is full of movement, laughter, and natural interactions.
With many years of experience working with children (and a Labradoodle who keeps me on my toes!), I know how to keep things fun and stress-free. My goal is to capture real, joyful moments - the kind that will transport you back to this stage of life every time you look at them.

What To Expect From a Family Photo Session
Clothing and Setting Consultation
A natural, relaxed portrait experience is achieved by starting with our clothing and setting consultation, either over the phone or in the studio. At this (optional) informal meeting, we discuss any ideas you have for the session, wardrobe choices, and your family's personalities. This will help me learn a little more about your expectations of the session, your family dynamics, and your emotional connections. Here we'll also confirm the time, date, and location of the session.
There are lots of 'go to' locations that we can tell you about at the consultation; you may, however, have your own ideas for a location, which is welcomed. These sessions are usually carried out on Northumberland's breathtaking coastline or within the rolling countryside of the Scottish Borders. Wherever we go, the experience will leave the whole family with amazing memories.
**Sessions take place within 15 miles of my studio in Berwick-upon-Tweed unless arranged in advance.
Your Photography Session
We will meet for the appointment at a gorgeous location of choice. Your session will normally take around one hour, keeping things fun and relaxed with no pressure for the best photographic outcome, especially if young children are involved.
I will give you gentle prompts and directions to elicit genuine interaction and emotional connection.
Extended family are welcome if you would like to share the experience.
**In order to give you my very best, I limit the number of location portrait sessions to four per week. This means that at some times of the year your appointment will need to be made around five to eight weeks in advance. As you can imagine, Saturday afternoons and school holidays are extremely popular for family location sessions.
View & Choose Ordering Session
Approximately one week after your photography session, you will be invited to our studio to look through your photographs and make a selection. You'll be able to see everything on a big screen for an easier viewing experience.
Framing and wall display examples can be viewed during the ordering session enabling you to see exactly how your photographs could look. We assist you step-by-step in the selection process, ensuring that you have the right pictures, frames, and mounts for your home and décor.
Wall Planning
Our speciality is in custom-designed wall galleries created specifically for your home, if you are interested in our complimentary wall design service, please let us know before your view and choose session so that we can prepare some mock-up ideas for you.
Please Note: Ordering appointments usually last around an hour and are not much fun for small children. We recommend that you set aside your viewing as some quality 'me' time, either with or without your partner but preferably without the children. Trust us, they will thank you for it!
Your Finished Products
Product orders are fulfilled within 28 days of the ordering session which means that you will get your order in time to cherish and show them off at your birthday, your next dinner party or Christmas.
When your products arrive, you will be contacted to arrange a time to collect your order at your convenience. They will be ready to hang so they can make your house a home.

What Does a Family Photography Session Cost?
A full family photography experience with products (including your £75 session fee) starts at £400, with most clients investing anything between £600 - £1700.

How Do I Book a Session?

The easiest way to book is by giving me a call. We’ll chat about your session, find the perfect date, and secure your booking during the call.
To confirm your session, the session fee is due at the time of booking. This fee is non-refundable but can be transferred if you need to reschedule. Life happens - we’ll make it work!

Welcome to the North East, where the weather loves to keep us on our toes! Most of the time, we can work with overcast skies or a light drizzle (great for soft, flattering light).
If the forecast looks particularly wild (think heavy rain or gale-force winds), I’ll call you the day before to reschedule. If you’re tied to the date, we can always find sheltered spots or switch to a studio session.

After your session, we’ll book an ordering appointment (usually 1–2 weeks later) where you’ll view at least 20 of your portraits. Once you’ve chosen your favorites, product orders typically take around 28 days to be fulfilled.
